Braithwaite & Katz Communications

Effective Publicity is a Creative Partnership

You deserve personalized attention from your public relations firm. At Braithwaite & Katz, we work closely with you to show the media the value of your work. Braithwaite & Katz works only with clients we truly believe in. That includes creative people and projects — record companies, music festivals, musicians, performing arts series, and schools. Since 1986, our results and customer satisfaction demonstrate the media’s positive response to our work — and yours.

ANN BRAITHWAITE has nearly three decades’ experience as a public relations and journalism professional. Before founding Braithwaite & Katz, Ann worked as a writer and public relations specialist at the New England Foundation for the Arts, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Agnew, Carter, McCarthy, Inc., Monosson Technology Enterprises and Nelson Publishing, and was a journalist for the Courier News, a daily newspaper in Bridgewater, N.J.

Ann served on the Board of Directors for the New Theatre, and has served as a panelist and workshop leader for the New England Foundation for the Arts Regional Jazz Retreat, the New England Artists Trust Artists Congress II, New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, the International Association of Jazz Educator’s Conference and the Jazz Improv Conference. She holds a master’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and a bachelor’s degree in English, magna cum laude, from Tufts University.

Her passion for jazz began while on a high school band trip when friends convinced her to sneak out after curfew to hear a Sun Ra performance in Philadelphia.
